Santhosham. I am Purannan Balakrishnan and currently studying in 11th Grade. I was introduced to yoga practice when I was 2 years old by my Gurumahan Paranjothiyar, UPF, India. I am blessed & thankful to my Guru who is guiding me in my yoga path as well as my personal life. My mom was my first teacher. I have also  learned some advanced practices from Master Yogaraj CP of Hong Kong. I am currently being trained under Master Venkatesh from UPF, India.

Yoga has indisputably become a part of daily life. I practice my asanas for at least 15 to 20 minutes every morning before  going to school. I can vouch that yoga keeps my body and mind healthy, throughout the day, enabling me to live a stress-free life. Yoga, supplemented by  my natural & healthy food habits, guided by my Mom, has kept me away from any ailments. I always turn to natural remedies if required.

I enjoy spending  time with  family and friends. I am very creative and open minded. I Am   involved with the debate club at my school, and have competed in various national tournaments.

As a  volunteer, I teach  yoga to younger kids at  the UPFNA Yoga center. I have done yoga demonstrations at various yoga & meditation centers, colleges & schools, both in the USA and India. I won the USA Yoga National Championship in 2019, 2020 &  2021. I also won the International Yoga Video Blogging Contest conducted by the Indian Government, as a part of the International Yoga Day celebration in 2020.

In my endeavor to spread the goodness of Yoga, I have shared some videos of  yoga postures along with my experiences on this website. This will be beneficial for students at beginners and intermediate levels. This website  will be updated periodically with more information and details. Please remember to revisit this website for the latest.

Hoping to reach as many people as possible, I dedicate all my work on this YogiHut website and YouTube  to Universal Peace Foundation, India & Universal Peace Foundation of North America. Through these channels I am looking forward to sharing my yoga knowledge and motivating inspiring young minds.

I am really thankful to my Guru, Teacher, Parents & Friends.
